Hamden Symphony Orchestra, an all-volunteer Orchestra of more than 65 musicians under the direction of Vesna Mehinovic, will begin its 56th season of exciting and innovative performances with “Arrivals” on Friday, November 17th at 7:30 pm at Hamden Memorial Town Hall. This performance will feature music from four distinct eras of Symphonic Music from the 18th to 21st Century, culminating in Antonin Dvorak’s monumental 9th Symphony, “From the New World”. Harpsichordist Betsy Goldberg, will accompany the Orchestra’s Strings in J.S. Bach’s Concerto # 3 in D Major for Keyboard. Reesa Gringorten and Jacob Lattanzi will also be featured in Felix Mendelssohn’s Concert Piece # 2 for 2 Clarinets.
